How do the Major System, PAO, and the memory palace fit together as a "stack"?
Image systems (Major System / PAO) encode the raw data into pictures; the palace sequences those pictures.
Think of it as division of labour:
- Major System — numbers → words/images.
- PAO — numbers or cards → compact Person-Action-Object images (compressing several items into one).
- Palace — stores whatever images you produced, in order, with random access.
Encoding and sequencing are separate problems; each tool solves one. The palace is the container that makes the others usable at scale.
