Which BSI standard covers emergency management (business continuity)?
BSI 100-4 — Notfallmanagement (emergency management) — it kept its old 100-series number when the others moved to 200-x.
When the BSI modernized its standards, three of them were re-issued as the 200 series:
- 100-1 → 200-1 (ISMS)
- 100-2 → 200-2 (methodology)
- 100-3 → 200-3 (risk analysis)
100-4 (emergency management) initially remained under its old number — a classic exam trap when people assume "everything is 200-x now". Its successor (BSI 200-4, Business Continuity Management) was developed later.
Tip: Remember "three moved, the fourth stayed behind."
