Question
How do you drill the Persons of your PAO — the backbone of the whole system?
Answer
The Person is the only slot that encodes the number (via the Major system), so you learn all 100 Persons first and hardest — number → Person to build, Person → number to decode.
The first two consonant sounds of each name give the two digits (0 = s/z/soft-c, 1 = t/d, 2 = n, 3 = m, 4 = r, 5 = l, 6 = sh/ch/j/soft-g, 7 = k/hard-g, 8 = f/v, 9 = p/b); vowels and h/w/y are free filler. Nail this column solid, then layer each Person's signature Action and Object on top (drilled in the per-decade Pegs decks). Note: these Persons are a different list from the Major peg words — they need their own drilling.
